The Healthy Klamath Network is excited to introduce the Hispanic Health Committee. With an overall objective of improved health and wellbeing for the Hispanic population of Klamath County, this energetic group of Latinx leaders and supporters held its first meeting in early 2022.
Since then, the committee has taken off, meeting monthly on Zoom. With representation from partner organizations in sectors as diverse as health, human services and education, this committee’s level of engagement has been remarkable. Members immediately dove into challenges like getting timely health-related information out to the Spanish-speaking community, and organizing outreach opportunities like the Mexican Consulate Visit and COVID-19 vaccination events.

La Coalición Healthy Klamath se complace en presentar el Comité de Salud Hispana. Con el objetivo general de mejorar la salud y el bienestar de la población hispana del condado de Klamath, este comprometido grupo de líderes latinos y personas interesadas celebró su primera reunión a principios de 2022.
Desde entonces, el comité ha despegado y se reúne a través de Zoom cada mes. Con representación de organizaciones asociadas en sectores tan diversos como la salud, los servicios humanos y la educación, el nivel de compromiso de este comité ha sido notable. Los miembros inmediatamente se sumergieron en desafíos como llevar información oportuna relacionada con la salud a la comunidad de habla hispana y organizar oportunidades de divulgación como el Consulado Móvil de México y eventos de vacunación contra el COVID-19.
