Expressing gratitude through service-Coming Soon

There are people who live a life centered on gratitude. The Christian experience is meant to be expressed through worship and praise.

For many Christians, service is at the heart of expressing gratitude. In the coming months, a new approach to local service will be launched.

CityServe is part of Greater Klamath CityFest. Co-chairs Doug Kirby and Randy Shaw describe CityServe as “a movement focused on encouraging, equipping, and empowering the Body of Christ to love and serve our region through united, long-term efforts focused on the area’s greatest needs.”

Those needs are being researched and there are people anxious to reach out and help the Klamath area with volunteer services to make some dreams come true.

CityFest is an event coming to the Klamath area on Saturday May 27, 2023. Over the past year, pastors and community leaders in the Klamath area have prayed and dreamed about a unified effort to serve the community and share the Good News. In speaking with many key Christians in our area, there was a common vision for a Gospel-proclaiming event to share the life-giving message of Jesus in a public and winsome way.

After much prayer, discussion, and God’s clear direction on timing, a meeting of more than 158 pastors and Christian business leaders in attendance found the Luis Palau Association accepting an invitation to hold an evangelistic festival with Andrew Palau, right here in Klamath Falls.

The free, family-friendly festival – which is called Greater Klamath CityFest – will include a series of service projects and outreaches to key groups in our community throughout that week, culminating on that Saturday.

Kirby and Shaw agreed, “We are excited for this opportunity to unite believers to share the name of Jesus Christ – through both word and deed – with our friends, family, and neighbors.”
