Downtown Klamath Falls Alleyway Art- Alleyway Activation Project

Alleyways are traditionally dark and spooky places, and the Alleyway Activation Project was started to try and diminish that feeling while creating more beautiful spaces in our downtown corridor. The Alleyway Activation Project is one example of how a small grant can have a big impact.

With funding provided by AARP, Healthy Klamath was able to commission three local artists to paint three unique pieces that spoke on the culture of Klamath.

This funding also supported one mosaic painting done by the Klamath Basin Senior Citizens' Center participants and facilitated by the Downtown Association. The Alleyway Activation Project pays homage to our local artist community and exhibits how art can have a big impact on our community’s sense of pride. Healthy Klamath will pursue additional funding to continue activating alleyways.
